Bergamot essential oil is commonly associated with uplifting and energising properties, it also has relaxing effects, especially when used in aromatherapy. Bergamot oil contains compounds like linalool and linalyl acetate, which have calming and soothing properties. When inhaled, bergamot oil can help reduce stress, anxiety, and promote relaxation.

Ylang Ylang essential oil can have a relaxing and sedative effect: Ylang ylang is known for its ability to reducing stress, anxiety, and nervousness. It's also considered an aphrodisiac due to its ability to promote relaxation and create a romantic atmosphere. Furthermore, ylang ylang can help balance emotions, alleviate feelings of sadness or frustration, and promote a sense of inner peace.

Lemon essential oil is knows for being energising however, it can also help reduce stress and tension. Inhaling its fresh aroma can have a calming effect on the mind, especially when combined with deep breathing exercises or mindfulness techniques.

Instructions

Place the Steamer: place it on the floor of the shower, ideally not directly under the water stream. This allows the steam to activate the essential oils without washing them away too quickly.

Activate the Steamer: Turn on the shower to your desired water temperature and let it run. As the water heats up and creates steam, it will start to dissolve the shower steamer, releasing the aromatic essential oils into the air.

Inhale and Enjoy: Once the shower steamer begins to dissolve and release the essential oils, take deep breaths and inhale the steam. Allow the aromatic vapours to envelop you, creating a soothing or invigorating experience depending on the essential oils used.

Rinse if Necessary: Shower steamers may leave residue on the shower floor after use. If this occurs, rinse the shower floor briefly after your shower to prevent any slipping hazards.
