Sensitive Scalp, Shampoo bar.

Our Sensitive Scalp Shampoo bar is expertly designed to be gentle on sensitive skin, it is conditioning on the scalp which helps to minimise itchy, flakey and irritated skin. It is formulated to nourish and repair damage while hydrating the hair, leaving it healthy and luscious. For best results pair with our Sensitive Scalp Conditioner bar.

To use simply wet hair and run the bar from root to tip, massage completely through to create lather, rinse well and repeat if necessary (often the second shampoo will develop lather faster).  Store the bar 'high and dry' to make the bar firm and longer lasting.

Keep out of eyes, for external use only.

Ingredients - sodium cocoyl isenthionate, sodium coco sulfate, cetostearyl alcohol, btms 25, Cocamidopropyl betaine, stearic acid, sodium bentonite clay, sodium lactate, lavender essential oil, neem oil, colloidal oatmeal, pro vitamin b, hydrolysed oat protein, jojoba oil, argan oil.    

About the ingredients.

Sodium cocoyl isethionate - is derived from coconut oil, is an effective and biodegradable surfactant that creates a creamy lather while remaining gentle on skin and hair. No palm oil is required to produce it, making this product a sustainable option.

Sodium coco sulfate - is a natural surfactant made from coconuts, this creates a creamy lather and is gentle enough for sensitive skin.  The shortened name for this is SCS which should not be confused with SLS.  SCS is gentle and coconut based, it is much more expensive than SLS and is palm free.

Cocamidopropyl betaine - is derived from coconuts and creates a creamy lather which is non drying which helps to clean the scalp without drying it out.

Stearic acid (palm free) - is used as an emulsifier to hold all of the wonderful ingredients together in one bar.

Sodium lactate - is a salt in liquid form made from fermented cornstarch.  We use it to make a firmer and longer lasting bar.  Because it is a humectant it naturally draws moisture in.

Neem - Our Sensitive Scalp, Shampoo Bar contains the natural healing power of neem oil to condition even the most sensitive scalp. With its natural antiseptic properties, neem oil helps to soothe scalp to reduce itchiness and irritation. 

Colloidal oatmeal - Our Sensitive Scalp formula contains omega-6 fatty acids from colloidal oatmeal that work to repair, hydrate and add elasticity to damaged hair. Plus, it soothes scalp itchiness so your hair can look and feel its best.

Lavender essential oil - can improve scalp health. The anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties can reduce inflammation and cleanse the scalp, making it an ideal conditioner for preventing hair loss and promoting new hair growth. With regular use, you can achieve a healthier, stronger scalp.

New Zealand Sodium Bentonite clay - also known as New Zealand Volcanic Clay offers deep moisture and cleansing to your hair and scalp. The clay helps to remove dead skin cells and toxins, strengthens the hair, and promotes thicker, healthier hair growth by clarifying the hair follicles and allowing them to absorb water.

Provitamin B5 - in hair care can restore your scalp's natural equilibrium. This powerful humectant helps retain the right amount of moisture for your scalp, hair and prevents water loss, leaving your strands soft, smooth and more manageable. This conditioner bar helps to treat a dry and itchy scalp, for an overall nourished feeling.

Hydrolyzed oat protein - increases body, shine & manageability to hair as well as imparting protection and nourishment to skin. It helps to strengthen and hydrate dry, damaged hair, while protecting the scalp and helping to soothe skin.

BTMS 25 - is a natural emulsifying wax made up of Behentrimonium methosulfate (which is derived from the rapeseed plant and Cetearyl Alcohol (which is also derived from plants).  BTMS 25 is incredibly conditioning so is a staple ingredient in all of our solid shampoo and conditioner bars.

Argan oil - used to combat hair damage. Rich in antioxidants, Argan oil helps to nourish, protect, and moisturise hair, improving its strength and preventing splitting, breakage, and damage.

Jojoba oil - is rich in vitamins and minerals to nurture hair. Jojoba oil helps with hair strength, preventing hair loss and improving thickness.
